About the Host
Gary Korb, is a 22-year veteran of the music business who has worked in merchandising, public relations, marketing and journalism. Gary began hosting "Giant Steps" in 1998.
His professional career began with PolyGram Records in 1977. During his tenure he played a meaningful role in the merchandising efforts of such albums and artists as, Saturday Night Fever, The Bee Gees, Kiss, Def Leppard, John Mellencamp, Bon Jovi and numerous other top recording artists.
In recent years, he has worked with a number of upcoming artists, bands and independent record labels including the prestigious artist management agency, Premier Artists Services and the highly respected, Shanachie Records.
Gary holds a BS in Film Production from the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. He has been a singer-songwriter and performer for numerous rock bands, including several of his own, and is currently working on an original book for a rock musical.
